Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Sharareh, a communication designer based in Vancouver, BC, where I’ve called home for the past 20 years. When I’m not immersed in design, you’ll find me savoring every drop of coffee I can get my hands on or out on a trail, backpacking through alpine landscapes and hiking some of BC’s most stunning routes.
I hold a BFA in Graphic + Digital Design from the University of the Fraser Valley where I graduated with distinction. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s in Information Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Whether I’m designing or navigating mountain trails, I’m always drawn to the intersection of storytelling, sustainability, and connection. Let’s create something impactful together!
Thesis Project Plan: Re-Hang | Rethinking the Everyday Hanger
What is the Problem? The fashion industry produces millions of plastic and wire hangers annually, contributing significantly to landfill waste. Many hangers are poorly designed, leading to garment distortion, fabric wear, and premature disposal of clothing. Despite their ubiquity, hangers remain an overlooked part of sustainability conversations. This project challenges this oversight by reimagining the hanger as a tool for garment longevity and circular design.
